Small bits of egg shell in the bowl?

by Seraphina's Kitchen on February 14, 2014

How many times have you carefully tried to separate egg whites from egg yolks and ended up with small bits of shell in the bowl? If you are doing a lot of baking then I’m sure it’s happened many times.

Instead of chasing the piece of egg shell around the bowl with a small spoon (or your fingers!) try this simple trick. Take an empty half of an egg shell and use it to scoop up the smaller bits in the bowl. The larger piece works like a magnet and easily picks up the smaller pieces!
